  The family special is good. The fish is good, the fries are great, there are hush puppies, and the portions are huge. The coleslaw is awesome. But I hope you don't like coleslaw because the portions are tiny. I wasn't a fan of the hush puppies, could use some flavor other than fried. Service is not the best. They are very generous with the carryout tarter sause. It's a great deal if your craving fish, in the area, and not on a diet. I'll try the eat in broiled dinner next time.

  This place is amazing! My wife and I were looking for a restaurant to eat at before beginning our trip back to Alabama (we bought a house up here woo!) and decided on Captain's Galley. A better choice could not have been made! Most of the food is fried, but in a delicious, crunchy, taste enhancing kind of way. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and definitely know what's what with customer service. I will be returning for sure!
